The advertisement above is from Australia of the brand “Kellogg’s”, the product advertised in this ad is Coco Pops cereal.

+ Originality: 5/5

In this commercial, Ad maker used a Rube Goldberg machine to show a process of preparing breakfast just from Coco Pops cereal and milk.

+ Elaboration, Synthesis & Artistic Value: 5/5

In video, instead of describing a simple process, advertisers choose the Rube Goldberg machine having complicated stages. The video has a yellow colour, it might be signified of starting the day with spirits full of energy. Moreover, the ad has lovely music which might raise the spirit of children to start a new day.

+ Flexibility: I do not see any flexibility in this video

+ Step 1: Originality: I would create some rare elements. I will make a character similar to a superhero. He is flying in the sky and see someone is sad and crying, he would give it to those to make them happy.

Elaboration: I have re-edited my story. I have create the super hero give a girl who is sad and crying. She is upset because she doesn’t have friend. Through the Vegemite given by superhero, she becomes happy and joyful. Also, Vegemite helps to connect each other, when a girl gives her Vegemite to other students, they are very happy too. After that, they become closer, they talk and smile together. Vegemite is a friend of everybody and also a vehicle to connect people closer.

+ Step 2 (Identifying the target audience): I think the target audience of Vegemite is student. Vegemite is the famous brand of Australia, many people know this. We will make creative stories to attract student from 5 to 18 years old. They could eat Vegemite at any time, at school, at home or even going out with their friends.

+ Step 3 (SMP): Vegemite is friend for everybody, they could bring happiness, joyful. Let’s eat and share.

+ Step 4 (Adding in the SMP): A superhero was flying in the sky when he saw a girl was sad and crying at school. And he flow down to the place where the girl sitting. He asked her why she cried. She said that she doesn’t have friend to play with. He decided to give her Vegemite as a consolation for her. After that she became happy and she shared her Vegemite to other students. Then they also become joyful too, they talk together and smile a lot. The Vegemite is not only a friend of everybody but also a medium to connect each people.

+ Step 5: Nowadays, I think Australian brands are doing very well. They create stories which are very attractive and creative to appeal their target audience. They had create different stories to fit with each target audience to make the maximum profit. Also, they are trying to reach international audiences.

ALA102 Discussion Forum + Assessment 1 Week 5 Workshop Part 1: Creative Brief – Strategic Objectives

+ Background: The avozilla is new to the fresh food product category and, aside from some news coverage, there is very little awareness. The product is in direct competition with regular avocado varieties, which have a lower price point. I would suggest the an appropriate archetype for the avozilla is ‘the idealist or innocent’ archetype. This archetype attributes: trusting, honest, pure, loving. Because this is in food category, this archetype would make people trust in avozilla, also they could feel the pure in the food.

+ Objectives: To raise awareness of this new product, encourage trial and repeat purchase.

+ Target audiences: The target audience of Avozilla would be for woman aged 30-55, they have family and they have responsibility for caring their family. They always want the best thing to their children and family with a reasonable price and good quality.

+ Proposition: The avozilla would bring healthy meals for family.

+ Substantiation: Avozilla is tasty and healthy. Also it could combine with other food to make a tasty meal. And avozilla brings a lot of benefits for their consumers’ health.

+ Tone of voice: happiness, caring

+ Media requirements: A4 Print advertisement.

+ Mandatories: Logo, web address.

Call to action: For more information please visit: fb.me/fbchangesAU

Insert: Facebook logo

Step two

Body copy: Life to short to read the Fake news.

Step three:

Three problems:

+ Too many words in the poster

+ The image of Pharrell Williams is not relevant to the poster

+ Most important words are too small to notice.

Step four part 1:

Headlines for ‘mothers aged 30-50‘ audiences:

  1. Your child is at home not at the phone.
  2. The more messages you text, the further far from your child.
  3. Do not text while driving.
  4. Be a good driver, be a good mom.
  5. Look at the road not the phone.
  6. No texting while driving.
  7. Texting when you at home, not in the car.
  8. Don’t put your life on the line.
  9. Texting and driving don’t mix.
  10. No Phone-Zone.

Step four part 2:

I think the strongest headline I have written is: Don’t put your life on the line. The target audience of the poster is ‘mothers aged 30-50’. They not only worry about themselves but also their children. They have a duty to stay healthy to bring up their children. They would value their life, and it not worth texting messages.
